What You can Expect at Christian Life Church?

 

What’s Your Story?

Perhaps you are re-engaging with church or attending church for the very first time.

Perhaps you’re an active church member who just moved to the area.

Whatever your situation, we want to help with some of your questions before you visit our church.

Here’s our attempt to guess what’s on your mind and answer some of your questions. If we’ve missed something, let us know! You’re probably not the only one with that question, so asking us will help us help you and future guests.

Style

This is not Church the way it’s always been.

At Christian Life Church we don’t ‘do church’ the way church was done 20 years ago. There is nothing wrong with the way church has been done for years, but there is also nothing wrong with the way church is done at CLC.

We believe that God created each and every person and He has purpose for each one of us. He desires a personal relationship with each of us and He wants us to come to Him for salvation and then a growing relationship. With that in mind, our heavenly Father realizes that each of us is different and we have different ways of doing things.

Therefore at Christian Life Church, though the message is unchanging, the method is different so that God’s love can be made known to a larger group of people.

So even though things may look and sound different than churches you’ve attended in the past, you will find that we are very serious about connecting with God and we make that our first priority.

Psalm 100:4 tells us,

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise, give thanks to him and praise his name.”

People are more likely to connect with God when they worship using songs in the styles with which they are familiar. Missionaries have shown us that to reach people of various cultures; we must be willing to worship in a style that speaks to them, without changing the message.

So at Christian Life Church we will worship in a “Language” (Worship style) you can understand. We will use the “Music language” of the present day and use lyrics that are biblical and that point us to God.

Traditional music with choirs and organs is a perfectly acceptable way to worship God; but our style happens to use drums, guitars and keyboards.

We believe that once you experience this worship style, you will be hooked.

How Should I Dress?

You’ll see people in everything from suits to shorts on Sundays. Our concern isn’t what’s on the outside, but what’s on the inside. Come as you are. Jesus accepts us as we are when we come to Him. Why shouldn’t we?

So at Christian Life Church, modest, comfortable clothing is totally acceptable.

What is your Sunday service and schedule like?

Corporate worship services at our church are celebratory and free.

They are held on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m.  We are located at 38 HWY 82. 

Our worship style is contemporary.

Our Senior Pastor Ken Jackson   and Associate Pastor Don Dillard  both bring a relevant and inspiring message.

Is there anything for my kids?

Yes! We have Sunday options for newborns through 5th Grade. Our CLC Youth Ministry meets on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm.
